To celebrate our first month with our new hound Oak, we headed up into the foothills of the Skykomish river valley to take advantage of his sled dog instincts and check out some November waterfalls. I will concede 2013 isn't much of a "Before" but there is a bizarre lack of actual historic photos of Wallace Falls. Instead, in the shots below we can note the presence of the now critically endangered point and shoot digital camera and my dramatically smaller forehead.

In the 2018 version, I tricked Father Time into starting what appeared to be a slightly misty stroll through the woods. So the river was on the dry side for February but we were not... In the foreground Oak is modeling his upgraded harness which really lets him lean into the hills so he can earn his keep.
