For those days when you think "I really wish I couldn't feel my fingers", winter steelhead fishing is for you! We ventured up into the mountains for another attempt at catching hatchery steelhead on New Year's Eve. I got distracted by all of the ice formations along the river and had forgotten my coat at home...
But after a drive in the car to warm up, my second cast at the new, super not secret location on the Sky caught the eye of this 4.5# buck that we brought home for a fresh from the river, New Years Eve dinner with friends.
A big thanks to Sensei who gave me this very luck spinner for Christmas, has invested almost two years of training on this fishing noob, and infected me with the addiction!!
