Where the Jetty Ends

The master plan for last week's jetty trip involved out-hustling my fellow fisherman and making it further out than a reasonable soul would bother. Unfortunately, even after walking on water, I couldn't manage to catch a tasty morsel for the cooler.

The pelicans have set up base camp on the jetty's terminus

I didn't quite make it to the very end of the jetty, the rocks suggested I was pushing my luck. Making the walk of shame back down the jetty covered in a pelican's digested fish would be tough to live down. Although it would make a good case study for Alanis Morissette to gain a deeper insight into irony.

A breather from the rock/ocean pictures is on the way as the summer steelhead season has opened on the coast and the rivers are calling. Stay tuned for more tales of failure!
