Ok, superfan might be a stretch but I do know that he was kind enough to read a post that time he was asked. It turns out that is enough to get invited to join me on another protein gathering expedition. I started things off with the first fish but the little guy also ended up taking first place for largest... Even with beginners luck on our side we couldn't convince the steelhead to play along. More embarrassing was the lack of participation from the resident trout that we could clearly see feasting on everything else in the river. Still, failure on a WA riverbank beats doing almost anything else!
