Urban Outcast Music Discovery, Song #7, Forever Cold by Smooth Hand Smith
There are few things more ridiculous than sitting on a giant ice cube trying to convince frozen fish to play along. But there we are, sitting on the ice and watching the sunrise on a perfectly good Sunday. We were joined by the usual suspects: transplants from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Siberia.
I had high hopes for Fish Lake and the 25 perch limit implied great things to come. But first some auger action:
And then no action...
Until eventually Kat figured out the magic jigging motion, hooked her first perch, and was kind enough not to point out that this is the second species in which she holds the lead.
As goes most of my trips, there were enough nibbles to keep it interesting but we ended up leaving 49 of our perch in the lake for next time.

Oh yeah, Oak had fun too |
P.S. Washington Fish Quest has returned from his child rearing sabbatical! His latest episode was an ice fishing trip over the same weekend. Similar idea as the blog but Blake is just better at it... This is bigger news than that time America pranked Canada by electing a narcissistic troll doll for president!!
