Shit is literally stacking up in the street... at least in front of our house. Do not underestimate the amount of waste that a dog and diapered infant can generate in three weeks. The final tally for this year's Seattle snowstorms was 5 days of daycare closures starting last Monday. I hope it happens again next year but even if it doesn't happen again for 20 more years I'll hold onto the memories of the city shutting down: the silence, the kids coming out to commandeer any steep street as a sledding hill, nights as bright as day and the excuse to ditch work for family time.
