Tuesday's are a great time to hit the trails if you can swing it. Daycare was closed for a final day of bleaching before the fall session so we bailed on work and headed up I-90 to see Talapus and Oalallie lakes (6.2 miles, 1,200' gain). Having a little walker has opened up a lot of shorter/less ambitious trails that haven't made the cut previously.
Talapus is by far the more scenic lake (top pic) and if I was to do this trail again, I would probably explore the shoreline instead of pushing on to Oalallie. On the other hand, the little man liked the shallow beach at Oalallie and it was a pretty good stretch for trail blueberries.
